Hi Guys! Planning dates during the Winter can be hard sometimes. But, it shouldn’t stop you from spending some quality time with your sweetheart! It just calls for a some creative and cozy ideas. Grab your special someone and check out this fun (yet cheap) collection of dates for the holiday season! I made this based on dates My hubby and I like to go on in the Winter.
-Go Ice Skating
Grab your partner and head out to a fun night of ice skating. You don’t have to be a pro either 😉
-Watch a Hockey Game
Hockey games are always a fun and different than the usual dinner & a movie date. I’m sure your man will really enjoy it!
My husband LOVES snowboarding. I went with him a few times and it was really fun. Although I’m more of a snow tubing type of girl. Always be sure to do things your partner likes too, it makes them happy.
-Build a Snowman
What is more fun than building a snow man? Every first snow we get we build a snowman and have a great time doing it!
-Check out the Lights
This is a cheap but really festive date . Luckily we have a park close by that puts on an amazing light show. (Check your town to find something similar, if you don’t have this you can always drive around your neighborhood and sight see.) We grab a hot chocolate, blast the Christmas music, and soak up the beauty of the lights.
-Bake, Bake, Bake
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without some delicious Christmas cookies! Plan a fun night in baking your favorite types of cookies. Or any kind of sweets will do 🙂
-Snowball Fight, Anyone?
Let your inner kid out and get ready to pack some snow! Having a snowball fight is a lot of fun, and could get flirty. It’s good to act silly sometimes.
How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Elf, The Nine Lives of Christmas, Cookie-cutter Christmas, are just a few of my personal favorites! Cuddle up and enjoy some traditional movies. (To make it more special – Build a little fort and watch it in there while sipping some hot cocoa – yes you get to be a kid again).
-Decorate the Tree Together
This is a very special and memorable time. Put some Christmas music on and take out your best decorations, and get decorating!
-See a Play
During the holidays there are a lot of plays and musicals going on. You can get dressed up and go enjoy a show. You can also find free, or almost free plays in your community. Check out local churches. Every year we watch the nativity story and it’s the best. It helps you focus on the true meaning of Christmas.
Thanks for reading!! Have fun on your dates! 🙂
