Happy Monday! I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! I can’t believe it’s already over. As you know, the holidays are a time for family and friends. This weekend my husband and I hosted a small get-together with some of my family. I love making party food, whether I’m bringing it somewhere, or serving it at my house. Whenever I have something coming up I like to search different ideas and recipes. It’s a lot of fun for me. So, I decided to share with you some easy and delicious appetizers to make for your next party!
These were a big hit! I got this recipe from a coworker and its amazing. You cook the tortellenis as usual, rinse with cold water, and wait until they are dry. You can serve them in a bowl, but I thought the skewers made it a little more fancy! It’s soo good, you need to try it! The sauce is the best part:
2 Cups mayo
1/2 Cup sour cream
1 Cup parmesan cheese
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
1 Teaspoon of basil
Mix it all together, (serve cold) and enjoy!
Chicken Wing Pinwheels
I love all things chicken wing! These are so simple and delicious. I also think these look really neat on your food table.
1 Can of chicken breast
1 8oz Block of cream cheese
1/2 Cup of buffalo sauce (or more to your liking)
4- 5 Flour tortillas
Mix all ingredients (besides the tortillas) in a food processor. Spread mix inside tortilla, roll up, and slice into small pieces.
Pepperoni & Cheese Tray
Pepperoni and cheese trays are easy, and always a crowd pleaser.
You can use a variety of cheese, we used marbled cheese, mozzarella, and of course pepper jack cheese in ours. Just arrange it nicely and serve with crackers.
Veggies & Dips
Veggies and dip have always been a go to of mine. They’re very popular and there are endless possibilities. My favorite veggies to usually use are, carrots, celery, broccoli/cauliflower, and cucumbers! I use the hidden valley ranch packets for the dip. You mix the packet with a container of sour cream and it’s really good.
This is another staple. Ever since I was a kid we had these at all our family parties. This tray is as easy as opening a few cans and jars! The best part is it taste amazing. I love this tray. It’s almost effortless! Pictured above is green olives, black olives, pickles, peppers, and pickled cauliflower.
