It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I’m so excited and ready to welcome December with open arms. This season is full of so much joy and cheer. I can’t wait to see the lights on houses, bake delicious goodies, and be around family and friends. I also love the feeling of the lights from the Christmas tree in our living room. It’s so cozy! We started decorating our apartment on black Friday. It’s a little tradition Mike and I started as a couple our first year of marriage. Every black Friday we play Christmas music on repeat, eat Thanksgiving leftovers and decorate! Last year I shared some decorating ideas that are easy and inexpensive (you can see that post here).
That’s a picture of this years Christmas tree all decorated. I’m so glad it’s Friday, and I’m sure plenty of you are too. We will probably stay in tonight and have a movie night. Tomorrow will be a fun day too, because I am planning on going to a big holiday craft show! I can’t wait. On Sunday we will go to church and then probably watch some football. It’s crazy to think how December is already here and how we only have one month left of 2016!
Alright, let’s get into some favorites of the week…
(1) ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas
Now that it’s December it’s time to watch ALL the Christmas movies. ABC family has a great movie schedule to enjoy until Christmas. There are so many Christmas movies out there. Isn’t it funny how no one can get sick of Christmas movies? I watch the same ones every year and they never get old! Click here to see the full line up.
My etsy shop now offically has candles! I’m extra happy over this, because I have been pouring and testing candles for a little while now trying to find the best wax and wick combo for my customers. Candles are great and make the perfect gift for just about anyone! If your interested in purchasing some candles or wax melts you can view them in my Etsy shop. All of my candles and wax melts are made with soy wax which makes them much healthier than alternative brands. Nothing beats handmade!
Mmm.The Christmas season is upon us which means lots and lots of baking! These cookies are defientley going to be number one on my list to make this year. They look so festive and delicious. The recipe also seems very easy to follow. You can find the recipe for these cookies here.
(4) Christmas printable
Click here to get this free printable to add to your house decor or to give to a friend! I think it’s really nice and makes the perfect addition to any end table, fire place mantel, or sofa table. I’m obsessed with the font.
(5) Advent calendar
It’s really easy to let Christmas become overrun with shopping, presents, and business, but following an Advent calendar helps you stay on track and keep the focus on Christ. I found this one on Pinterest for Mike and I to read. You are more thab welcome to follow it too. 🙂
Thanks for reading! I hope you have a great weekend.
What are your plans this weekend? Are you excited for Christmas?
