Hi friends! Can you believe February is coming to an end? I feel like I say this a lot, but every month just keeps flying by. I’ve havent been on here much latley and I appolagize – I’ve been fighting colds and stomach bugs left and right. Thankfully I’m finally feeling better and it’s so good to be back. It’s crazy how much you take being healthy for granted until you’re sick. But it’s the weekend and I couldn’t be happier about that, and I am sure you feel the same, am I right? I wanted to catch up with you and let you know whats been going on lately.
February – the month of love! I enjoyed a delicious drink from Starbucks with their adorable “Share the Love” themed cups. Too cute not to photograph. For Valentines Day the hubs and I wanted to avoid all the Valentines Day crowds so we spent a fun date night at home which consisted of cooking a new dinner together, making chocolate covered strawberries, and watching movies.
It’s been so nice out the past week! Seriously it’s been 60+ degrees each day , with one day even hitting 72. So Mike & I took full advantage of the nice weather and went to a local State Park for a walk and to play around with my camera.
This beautiful weather has been giving me all the Spring vibes. It’s honestly hard to believe it’s February. I CANNOT wait for Spring to officially be here!!
We usually don’t have time during the week to make breakfasts like this one and eat together. So, every weekend we make it a point to make a delicious breakfast and eat together. Bacon, eggs, and breakfast potatoes – yum! Oh, and coffee .. can’t forget the coffee 😉
Lots of walks. Since it has been so beautiful we have just been spending a lot of time being outside and going on walks. It feels so good to walk outside without a jacket and feel the warm air and see the beautiful blue skies. I love looking at the sky and taking pictures of it. It’s the perfect reminder of what God makes and also reminds me of his presence.
Recently, I was sent these really great, pro-biotic skin care products to try from Columbia SkinCare and I am in love. It’s never too early to start taking care of your skin and these products do just that. I was sent their pro-biotic Complex and their probiotic Concentrate. The concentrate comes in a unique little bottle with a dropper and it’s super silky feeling. The complex is really nice and creamy leaving my face feeling hydrated. They both enhance your skin for a healthy looking glow and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. They are a little bit pricey but they are good quality products in my opinion.
I am a creature of habit, I could literally eat the same stuff every week and not get sick of it for a while. Mike, on the other hand, likes to try new things so I have been trying out new recipes all month(via Pinterest of course). Well this one is a keeper! A lot of the recipes I made this month were so I’ll be sharing them with you in the near future too. To get to this delicious chicken, asparagus, pesto pasta recipe click here.
Adulting is hard and adulting fails are funny, so now I’m going to share with you my adulting fail of the week. After being sick I decided I was going to wash the sheets and everything from the bed. There were two problems with this: 1) It was getting late and there realistically wasn’t enough time for it all to be washed and dried in time & 2) I ended up grabbing everything and just throwing it in, including the TV remote. Yes I washed the remote, but the good news is it still works! You live and you learn I guess. Haha.
Last but not least, the Spring wax melts & candle line is here! I know I am a little biased but these scents are just perfect. They are fresh, clean, fruity, and fun! The new collection features ‘Lemon Verbana’, ‘Love Spell’, ‘Honolulu Sun’, ‘Fresh Linen’, and ‘Fruit Loops’. Go to the Etsy shop and take a look at them yourself, I promise you won’t be disappointed. 🙂
Well, that’s my February in a nut shell. Thanks for stopping by and catching up with me! I hope you enjoyed this little look into my life. I hope you’re having a fabulous weekend. Let me know what you’re up to in the comments below!
